Environmental Stewardship
At Grafix Plastics, environmental stewardship is not just about trash, it’s about efficiency. And that always makes good business sense. We take a three-pronged approach:
- Grafix is committed to supplying as many environmentally-friendly materials as possible, to reduce the impact of these products on the earth. Many materials, like our acetate film, are biodegradable or compostable, and made from sustainably-sourced wood pulp and cotton, rather than fossil fuels.
- In 2014, we initiated a plant-wide waste recycling program that has allowed us to reduce the amount of waste we send to the landfill by 95%! We are now also able to accept our customers’ separated plastic waste for recycling.
- We continue to research and implement ways to supplement our energy usage with renewable resources, as well as improve the efficiency of our energy usage.
